Future Plans

Following the resounding success of the Brahms Requiem this February and the welcome we receiveed at Capernwray, the major work planned for 2024 will be Haydn's Creation in Caperwray Hall at the beginning of March. Rehearsals for this will begin in September but we shall also be working towards a substantial Christmas concert probably in Milnthorpe Parish Church on or around the 18th of December. Then in the summer we hope to perform Faure's Requiem in another of our many delightful local churches.

Looking even further ahead, our musical director, Ian Jones has suggested that in 2025 we should aim towards performing Elgar's Dream of Gerontius at Capernwray.

As you can see, these are ambition plans and we shall need lots of singers so, if you are not already a member of our choir, do consider joining us. Do not worry if you cannot read music; every section of the choir has experienced mentors who will be glad to give you any help you need. Make a start by coming along to any of our weekly rehearsals which take place at 7:00 p.m. on Mondays at the warm and comfortable venue of the Borwick and Priest Hutton Memorial Hall.
